Custom Solutions
Individual power electronics
Example of a custom designed inverter – Developed by our partner with many years of experience in hardware R&D
LT Power Electronics offers universities and research institutions as well as industry customer-specific hardware solutions for power electronics of all kinds. For example, we develop single-phase, three-phase or multi-phase inverter prototypes for your performance class in a short time. We build your hardware for you, whether it’s a two-, three- or multi-level converter.
Through previous projects of our partners, you reduce your development time and costs.
The hardware from previous projects is cut in such a way that it is directly connected to the door unit of your choice.
In addition, the developed hardware can be installed in a desktop or rack enclosure with professional cabling and build quality.
If you’re working on a research project or setting up a power electronics lab, our solutions are tailored to your exact needs.
Properties
Isolated measurements for the oscilloscope
Data Acquisition Interface (DAQ)
Simple plug & play operation
The entire system is ready to use right out of the box, without any further complex setup and cabling.
Indicator LEDs and test points
The built-in LED display and test points provide instant visual feedback and easy monitoring of circuit breakers and fault status during operation.
Custom Direct Controller Interface
We offer a custom and custom interface board for a controller of your choice with direct connection for all inputs and outputs of the drive.
Galvanically isolated digital inputs and outputs
Advanced protection features
Multiple protection functions are included, such as short-circuit, overload, over-voltage, and over-temperature protection, to ensure reliable operation.
Interchangeable power modules
The power modules and gate drivers are easily interchangeable, providing upgrade flexibility (IGBT to SiC) and easy maintenance.

Example of a sketch
Draw up a sketch and specifications
First, provide us with a basic sketch of the topology and specifications, including power conductors (SiC / Si-IGBT), power rating, input and output voltages and currents, switching frequency, passive components e.g. filter size, RMS value and peak voltage/current), isolating relays if applicable, and system measurements for feedback and monitoring.

Definition of the controller interface
Specify the controller you want to use to operate the system and the pin mapping to design a customized interface board with appropriate signal levels and connectors. The option with two redundant controllers is available to enable the interface with real-time simulators such as dSPACE, Speedgoat, OPAL-RT, Typhoon HiL for laboratory evaluation, and DSP controllers for evaluation.

Select Enclosure Type
Choose a suitable enclosure type to suit your application. A desktop acrylic enclosure provides maximum visibility and optimal access to the test points. The rack enclosure option is better suited to build large multi-converter systems with complex cabling and increased safety at compact laboratory distances.
